Sedation Dentistry

We offer 3 main types of sedation in our office:

  1. Nitrous-oxide
An inhaled gas that reduces anxiety and is the best option for most patients who may be slightly anxious with dentists. You breathe the vapor through a mask placed over your nose. There is no drowsiness after and you are safe to drive home.
  2. Oral
A type of sedation where you can take a medication prior to the appointment which eases your nerves. This can be used in children and adults. We will select the medication and dosage given to you based on your medical history and medications taken. We also monitor your vital signs with a pulse oximeter throughout the procedure, which is a machine that measures the relative amount of oxygen in your blood. Most of the time the patient does not remember coming to the office and having work done. With this type, as well as IV sedation, an escort or ride must be present to bring you and take you home from our office.
  3. IV-Sedation
Known as twilight sleep, it is mostly used for severely anxious patients and for patients wishing to be a little more comfortable during a long procedure. If you can have your blood drawn at your doctor’s office then you can surely be a candidate for IV sedation. In this type of sedation we simply place an IV and once we start giving the medication the patient will remember little, if any, of the appointment.

All of the options discussed above are safe as long as the patient discloses all pertinent medical information to the staff.

Restorative dentistry

entails the removal of decay and any other problems which you may have to return your dentition to health and function. Our goal is to provide quality work as comfortable as possible. We only use the best materials available and pride ourselves in working with dental labs of the highest degree.

Restorative treatment options:

  1. Tooth-colored composite resin fillings
  2. Pediatric stainless steel crowns
  3. Crowns and bridges

Cosmetic Dentistry

If you are concerned about your smile, we will be glad to sit down and set up a consultation to decide which cosmetic options are best for you. Photographs will be taken and your smile will be analyzed scientifically. With the information which you give us as well as that which we gather at the exam, we are able to come up with a treatment plan specifically designed to meet your needs. Treatment options include but are not limited to the following:

  • Tooth whitening
  • Tooth colored resin veneers and or fillings
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Porcelain crowns
  • Snap-on-smile

If you have an interest in bleaching, veneers, porcelain crowns, etc…

Preventive Dentistry

The age-old adage of “prevention is the best medicine” is certainly true in dentistry. The practice of regular cleanings and checkups to our office helps you maintain a healthy smile by preventing problems from occurring. This area of dentistry is perhaps the most important area of dentistry as well as the most cost effective. By catching cavities and problems as they begin we can hopefully avoid costly procedures such as crown and bridges. We also conduct an oral cancer screening during each of your exams in our office.

Dentures & Implants

If you are missing teeth there are many ways to address the issue of partial or complete edentulism. We pride ourselves on making well-fitting and long-lasting complete and partial dentures. However, dentures are not the only solution to replacing missing teeth. Dental implants were developed to replace teeth in a permanent, non-removable way. They are the future of dentistry and the gold standard of replacing missing teeth. Implants are and also for retention in dentures. They are highly versatile and can accommodate nearly any treatment plan.
